Crowdsourced Testing
A Cost-Effective Supplement to Traditional Testing
(…or it is just a fad?)

There’s an ever-increasing variety of computing devices, browsers, operating systems, as well as cell phone service providers and network types available to run apps, games and websites.

It may be impossible to adequately test some software using traditional testing approaches and resources, given all of the possible operating configurations. Crowdsourced testing—engaging a community of geographically diverse testers using their own personal computing devices—is being adopted as a means for broad and rapid testing. But are companies getting what they bargained for?

During this BenchmarkQA/TwinSPIN event, you’ll hear a brief overview of crowdsourced testing (What is it? Who is doing it? When? Why? ) followed by a facilitated discussion with crowdsourced testing practitioners, crowdsourced testing customers, and BenchmarkQA senior consultants who have researched this emerging yet somewhat controversial testing option.

Join in the conversation:

  • What value can be gained from crowdsourced testing?
  • How does a crowdsourced testing project work?
  • Do I still need my own corporate testing resources if I choose to use crowdsourced testing?
  • Can anyone be a crowdsourced testing resource?)
